2018 NFL Power Rankings Week 2: Eagles barely hold off Falcons
By Dan Parzych
10. Packers
First off, how on earth was Aaron Rodgers able to return to the game Sunday night when it looked like he suffered a leg injury that could potentially keep him out for the season in the first half against the Chicago Bears? The Green Bay Packers quarterback has proven on numerous occasions throughout his career that he’s one of the toughest quarterbacks in the league, but seeing Rodgers find a way to return against the Bears while leading them to a win despite trailing 20-0 at one point was absolutely insane.
Even more crazy, Rodgers looked better with one bad leg than most of the quarterbacks around the NFL working with two. Failing to score a single point in the first half seemed like it was going to come back and haunt the Packers before they pulled off this unbelievable comeback, but more importantly, what should the team expect from Rodgers moving forward?
As impressive as it was to see Rodgers return in the second half when the injury appeared to be the worst news possible for Green Bay, one has to wonder if there should be any concern at all heading into Week 2. Rightfully so, the Packers would love Rodgers to be completely fine, and not have to worry about his leg, but also they need to be cautious with their franchise quarterback to risk another future scare.
