2018 NFL Power Rankings Week 2: Eagles barely hold off Falcons

12. Baltimore Ravens
If the Baltimore Ravens were looking to make a statement on offense in Week 1, they certainly did so when looking at how Sunday’s contest against the Buffalo Bills was basically over before halftime even rolled around. One of the biggest debates over the years has been whether Joe Flacco deserves to be in the elite conversation, and after seeing how effective the Bills’ defense was throughout last season, the Ravens must be pleased with the veteran’s first regular season action of 2018.
Thanks to an improved receiving corps consisting of players like Michael Crabtree and Willie Snead, Flacco finished with one of his better games when facing Buffalo in Week 1 after tossing for three touchdowns while completing 25 of 34 passes for 236 yards. Take this into consideration with the defense putting together a strong performance of their own by holding the Bills to scoring just three points, the Ravens could end up being one of the top teams in the AFC if this impressive play continues beyond Week 1.
Defense has always been the major strength of Baltimore, but a consistent offense could help make them one of the top overall teams in the NFL. All these years, it was always frustrating to watch the Ravens come up short due to poor play on offense, but this season feels different.
