13. Chicago Bears

To say the Khalil Mack trade was well worth surrendering the future first-round picks for the Chicago Bears would be a huge understatement when seeing how quickly he made an impact with his new team against the Green Bay Packers. There were some questions over the kind of shape Mack would be in after holding out all of training camp and preseason, but Monday’s game made it pretty clear that he’s going to be just fine.

Whether it was his sack or returning an interception for a touchdown, Mack wasted no time making his presence felt for Chicago on the defensive side of the football, and the scary factor is it looks like he’s only going to improve as the year progresses. Most players in Mack’s situation would seem to be at a major disadvantage playing catch up with their new team, but this shows just how special of a talent he truly is.

If only the Bears could have held on for the win to pull off a major surprise on the road in Week 1, this performance by Mack would have seemed more meaningful. But as tough as it was to see Chicago on the losing end, it’s clear Matt Nagy has put together a pretty impressive team that could be a surprise contender in the NFC.
