2. Foles was MVP for a reason in Super Bowl

Without question, there’s no way the Eagles would have been able to win the Super Bowl if it wasn’t for the stellar play by Foles in those three games, all of which consisted of Philadelphia entering the game as underdogs. Replacing a quarterback playing at a MVP level like Wentz was one of the most difficult tasks any backup could have been part of, but Foles handled the situation like a true professional, even if it wasn’t exactly pretty at first.

Based off how Foles looked in the final few games of the 2017 regular season, it was easy to understand why some Philadelphia fans questioned the team’s ability to make a run at the Super Bowl. But thanks to Foles elevating his game to a whole new level when it mattered the most in the postseason, the Eagles quarterback will forever be viewed as a legend in the City of Brotherly Love.

Philadelphia as a city spent decades looking for that first Super Bowl title, and will forever be grateful for what Foles was able to accomplish while facing all sorts of heavy pressure once Wentz was ruled out for the season. By showing he can handle the pressure of winning a Super Bowl along with taking home MVP honors, Foles seems capable of accomplishing any challenge standing in his way, which could also include turning things around before Week 1 after a disastrous preseason.
