1. Foles finishes with performance to forget

To say this was one of the worst games by Nick Foles in his career would be a huge understatement when looking at how horrendous he looked from an overall perspective. From the three turnovers to allowing the Browns to record a safety in the first half, the Eagles went from feeling confident about Foles if needed for Week 1 to extremely concerned after Thursday’s disappointing performance.

Throughout the offseason, the one positive factor over Carson Wentz‘s recovery process was how Philadelphia would still be in great shape under center if they were forced to start the year off with Foles. And while the argument can be made it’s only preseason and there’s plenty of time for Foles to turn things around before Week 1 if his number is called upon, the Eagles were hoping to see more in Week 3 of the preseason.

Thursday’s game against Cleveland was supposed to make Philadelphia feel better about how things turned out with Foles the week before against the New England Patriots, but instead it made everyone feel worse. Take this into consideration that Foles won’t play in the preseason finale next week, it’s going to be interesting to see what the next week is like for the Eagles with questions at quarterback once again.
