1. New England Patriots

Year after year, the New England Patriots always seem to find their way near the top of this list, and rightfully so since Tom Brady continues to play some of his best football, despite being in his 40’s. It’s crazy to think that Brady was able to put together another MVP campaign in 2017, and even though it will be tough to adjust to life without Julian Edelman for the first four games, this isn’t the first time the future Hall of Famer has been in this position.

Brady has always been the kind of quarterback that makes the players around him better, and when looking at his history of barely playing in the preseason, it was a surprise to see him play a whole half against the Eagles on Thursday. Nobody should have been surprised one bit to see Brady end up finishing the half with 172 passing yards to go along with two touchdowns against the defending champions, as Brady seems to be preparing to put together another MVP campaign for the 2018 season.

Plus, when looking at his competitive nature, there’s nothing Brady wants more than to earn another shot at competing for his sixth Super Bowl title. But instead of jumping too far ahead, the Patriots need to focus on remaining healthy for the remainder of preseason since losing Isaiah Wynn to a torn Achilles was a crushing blow for the rookie and the team.
