2. Philadelphia Eagles

As mentioned before, the Eagles have made it easy to consider them the top team to beat in the NFL Power Rankings since they are the defending champions, and made plenty of big moves this offseason to give them a better chance at repeating. However, the team has looked like anything but champions through two games so far this preseason, as it has become clear this team mainly needs to focus on getting healthy before Week 1.

Between trying to figure out who is going to end up playing quarterback under center to seeing if others like Alshon Jeffery or Brandon Graham will even be able to play, Philadelphia has plenty of questions in need of answering over these next two weeks. And until they can receive some answers over the status of some of their star players, it’s tough to label the Eagles as the top team to beat in the league.

Once they figure out who is starting at quarterback against the Atlanta Falcons along with updates on other key injuries, Philadelphia will be in a much better position to compete for the top spot. For now, the Eagles are back in the underdog role on this list by coming in at No. 2, which also isn’t the worst thing in the world.
