6. Jacksonville Jaguars

Speaking of the Jacksonville Jaguars, after all of those years wondering if they would finally make the leap to becoming one of the top contenders in the AFC, the team made it all the way to the AFC Championship game last season. And if it wasn’t for the team blowing a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter of that game, one can only imagine if the Jaguars would have been able to take down the Eagles to win the Super Bowl.

Defense was the main reason behind Jacksonville’s success last season, and while the unit is expected to be one of the best in the NFL once again during 2018, the main concerns will come down to the offense. Blake Bortles took a major step forward last season when looking at all of the inconsistencies from previous seasons, and while having a top running back in Leonard Fournette took off a ton of pressure, there are questions surrounding the receiving corps.

Losing Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns in free agency was tough for the offense to see, but the Jaguars hope this results in other players like Dede Westbrook stepping up in their absence. Bortles will need all of the help he can get to put the Jaguars in a better position to compete in the AFC, but at least he seems ready for the challenge.
