2018 NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles begin preseason on top

8. Green Bay Packers
In a way, it was very weird to watch the playoffs last year without Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers being part of it since this team always seemed to be a lock for at least a Wild Card spot. For obvious reasons, the circumstances would have been much different if Rodgers hadn’t suffered a broken collarbone that kept him on the sidelines for part of the season, but at least the Packers quarterback is healthy and ready to go for 2018.
With that being said, it’s going to also be weird to watch this Green Bay offense without Jordy Nelson, who was released by the team in the offseason to help make room for the signing of Jimmy Graham. Over the years, Nelson has always been one of Rodgers’ favorite targets, and while this may have seemed like a shock at first, at least the Packers quarterback still has plenty of talent to work with each week.
As long as he remains healthy, Rodgers is always going to be viewed as an early MVP candidate, and rightfully so when looking at how much of a difference he makes when on the football field. Assuming all goes according to plan, expect Green Bay to return to being in the playoff hunt.
