10. Los Angeles Chargers

There aren’t many teams that will miss out on the playoffs after ending a regular season by winning six of seven games, but that was exactly the case for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017 after falling just shy of playing in January. Maybe things would have been much different for the Chargers if it didn’t take until Week 5 for them to win their first game, but all that matters moving forward is they take advantage of a fresh start in 2018.

Defensively, Los Angeles proved last year to have one of the top units in the league thanks to key players like Joey Bosa, and if they continue to play at a high level, there’s every reason to believe this will be the case once again. Of course, that’s always easier said than done since the Chargers will rely on Philip Rivers to lead the way on offense as well to avoid another let down at the end of the regular season.

The veteran quarterback knows his time table to win a Super Bowl is closing in, and this certainly seems like one of the better teams he’s played for throughout his career. With his competitive mindset, expect another big year for Rivers along with hopefully a better a start in September.
