2018 NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles begin preseason on top
By Dan Parzych
22. Buffalo Bills
Some will argue that it’s ridiculous to put a team like the Buffalo Bills this low on the list after they finally put an end to their playoff drought last season, but keep in mind this team has a ton of questions heading into the preseason. Moving on from Tyrod Taylor seemed like a smart decision, but only time will tell when it comes to seeing if AJ McCarron was worth signing in free agency.
Without question, Buffalo’s defense was the main reason behind their success in 2017, and there’s every reason to believe the unit will be one of the best once again this upcoming season. However, if the Bills are truly going to stick out from the rest of the contenders in the AFC, the offense is going to need to step up on their end.
McCarron may be the early favorite to start right now, but a lot could change over the next few weeks with Nathan Peterman and Josh Allen waiting for an opportunity. Either one of these three quarterbacks could end up winning the starting job for Week 1, and nobody would be surprised at all since they all seem to have a fair chance at the moment heading into the first preseason game.
