After winning the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles arguably deserve to be in the top spot for the 2018 NFL Power Rankings heading into preseason.

Since the preseason is officially getting underway this week, it only seems fair to bring up the 2018 NFL Power Rankings heading into Thursday’s set of games, one of which happens to be the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers. After pulling off a surprise run at winning their first Super Bowl in franchise history last season, all eyes will be on the Eagles heading into 2018 to see if this team has what it takes to repeat as champions.

Of course, that’s always easier said than done since Philadelphia, like most teams, have a few questions in need of answering in the injury department, whether it involves the status of Carson Wentz being ready to go for Week 1 or Brandon Graham recovering from ankle surgery. Not to mention, let’s not forget that Alshon Jeffery continues to rehab after having surgery this offseason to repair a torn rotator cuff.

All things considered, it’s easy to understand why the Eagles can be viewed as a mystery heading into the 2018 season. But also, when seeing all of the challenges Doug Pederson was able to overcome last season to help bring the franchise their first Super Bowl, this challenge is no different for the Philadelphia head coach.

As for where the other 31 teams stand, well let’s not waste anymore time, and jump right into the rankings for Week 1 of the preseason.
