3. Will Sidney Jones play?

One player who fans will be hoping to see more of this season is cornerback Sidney Jones, who spent most of last season recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.

Jones was drafted to be the next great defensive player in Philadelphia. He was considered to be one of the best cornerback prospects in years and certainly the best of the 2017 draft class. And while the Eagles were pretty good at cornerback last year with Ronald Darby, Rasul Douglas and Jalen Mills patrolling the outside, it is believed by many that Jones would add a completely different layer to that unit.

Thursday night would be a good game in which to get Jones involved in early. Jones only played one game ins 2017, as the Eagles were obviously looking ahead to this season and preferred not to risk re-injury by allowing Jones to play more during the Super Bowl run. Jones may be a bit rusty, but odds are, he will show the coaching staff and the fans why he was so highly coveted before his injury.

I would plan on seeing Jones play for at least a quarter, perhaps more.
