Philadelphia Eagles: 5 current players with best chance of reaching Hall of Fame
By Dan Parzych
1. Jason Peters
Football fans will arguably consider Philadelphia’s run at winning the Super Bowl last year one of the best of all time when looking at all of the key injuries the team had to overcome along the way, including Jason Peters. As usual, Peters was in the middle of another amazing season, but unfortunately the veteran suffered a torn ACL and MCL during an October meeting with the Washington Redskins, putting the offensive line in a difficult position.
While Peters is a one of a kind talent, Doug Pederson deserves all of the credit in the world for making the necessary adjustments to the offensive to make sure his quarterbacks received the necessary protection. Otherwise, one can only wonder if Philadelphia would have been able to earn a playoff spot the way they did if the offensive line didn’t remain in great shape.
Between nine Pro Bowls along with being named to the All-Pro team twice, Peters has plenty of great accomplishments throughout his career. And after last season, Peters can finally add the greatest achievement of all after he became a Super Bowl champion for the first time, a feeling that is unlike anything else when it comes to playing in the NFL.
