Michael Bennett is entering his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018.

After winning their first Super Bowl title in franchise history, the Philadelphia Eagles knew the offseason would be filled with plenty of tough decisions since bringing back some key players would be difficult when looking at the money they would be making.

However, when it came to one of the biggest surprise moves, the Eagles acquiring Michael Bennett from the Seattle Seahawks ranks near the top of the list.

Philadelphia’s defense was already considered to be a nightmare for opponents once again in 2018, but Bennett joining the already stacked defensive line with his pass-rushing abilities is expected to take this unit to a whole new level.

Seeing how the Eagles only had to give up a fifth-round pick along with Marcus Johnson to land Bennett shows why this deal was a no brainer when looking at the talent he brings to the table.

Whether it’s making the Pro Bowl three years in a row or the fact that he’s recorded 23.5 sacks since 2015, there are plenty of reasons to love Bennett being part of this Philadelphia defense for the 2018 season.

Even more exciting, when looking at how great Bennett has looked over the first couple days of training camp, the move by the Eagles to land the former Seahawks star back in March is already looking like a major steal.

Bennett still has a long way to go since training camp hasn’t even been underway for a week, but Philadelphia couldn’t have asked for a better start from one of their new defensive stars. And even though there’s still some concern over a possible suspension to start off the 2018 season, this still seems like a decision that will be worth it in the long run for the defending champions.

Seattle’s defense may have been on the decline over the last few years, but that doesn’t mean the Eagles are concerned over Bennett’s ability to still make an impact.

If anything, Philadelphia is confident enough that Bennett’s presence is going to be a key factor in the team having a better chance of repeating as champions. Winning back-to-back titles in any sport is always a difficult challenge, but Bennett and the Eagles are ready for the challenge that awaits over these next couple of months.
