1. How sharp Wentz looks

As mentioned before, hope seemed lost when Wentz suffered a season-ending injury in December against the Los Angeles Rams, and as great as Foles was in the postseason, the Super Bowl MVP understands his role with the team. Over the last few months, Wentz has been doing everything in his power to make sure he will be ready to go for that opening night game against the Falcons, and hearing the news that he won’t be starting training camp on the PUP list was great for the Eagles to hear.

Even if Wentz is limited in action to start training camp, the star quarterback still has plenty to prove over these next few weeks to prove to his teammates and fans that being ready to go for Week 1 is still a possibility. For obvious reasons, the last thing Philadelphia wants to do is rush Wentz back before he’s ready, so it will also be important to monitor the quarterback’s status moving forward to make sure there aren’t any setbacks.

On a positive note, if Wentz is unable to go for the beginning of September, at least the Eagles will still be in good shape at quarterback since Foles filling in for the mean time isn’t the worst thing in the world. No matter who ends up starting at quarterback against Atlanta, Philadelphia is going to be feeling confident about their offense’s chances of being one of the best in the league once again in 2018.
