5. Graham getting healthy

One of the main reasons behind Philadelphia’s epic Super Bowl run last season was the stellar play by Brandon Graham on the defensive side of the football, as the former Michigan star has become quite the leader for the defense. Eagles fans will forever be thankful for that strip-sack on Tom Brady towards the end of the Super Bowl by Graham in February, but when it comes to training camp, the focus is on the defensive superstar to get healthy.

All signs point to Graham beginning camp on the PUP list, as he continues to recover from an ankle surgery that took place in the offseason. The fact that Graham played through the injury for part of last season shows just how tough of a player he truly is, and even though the original plan seemed to be that he would be ready to go this week, that obviously is no longer the case.

As concerning as this may seem, keep in mind that Graham is a freak of an athlete, and is smart enough to know that rushing back too soon would only result in risking the injury being worse. The Eagles’ defense is loaded with depth at numerous positions, but in order for this team to have their best chance of repeating as champions, Graham needs to be healthy enough to return to his normal ways.
