Philadelphia 76ers fever is in full effect as Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have vaulted the team into one of the top jersey sellers in the NBA.

Though Philadelphia 76ers haven’t played a game of basketball since May ninth, legions of fans from around the world are still flocking to support one of the hottest young teams in the NBA.

Maybe it’s because of Ben Simmon‘s Rookie of the Year win, or Joel Embiid‘s current publicity tour surrounding his NBA Live 19 cover, but Sixers jerseys are unsurprisingly flying off the shelves like hotcakes.

According to the NBA’s official Instagram account, Simmons and Embiid have sold the fifth and eighth most jerseys of any player in the league between April and June, giving Philly the fourth-highest selling jerseys in the league (via NBCS Philadelphia’s Jessica Camerato) behind the only the Golden State Warriors, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics.

Who would have imagined that two years ago, when we were still knee deep in the doldrums of The Process? I’m sure Sam Hinkie would be proud.

Making these numbers even more impressive is the seeming lack of sales from the team’s 2017 first overall pick Markelle Fultz, 2018 draft picks Zhaire Smith, Landry Shamet, and Shake Milton or any of the team’s role players like J.J. Redick or Robert Covington.

No, to the casual fan, Philly’s a two-headed monster.

Though selling the fourth most jerseys of any team in the league is obviously incredibly impressive, one question I’m left with is how are there still Philly fans who don’t already own Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons jerseys? Seriously, the dynamic duo have basically formed a 7-foot tall tandem reminiscent of a supersized Kobe and Shaq, with larger-than-life personalities capable if scoring fans both on and off the court that could dominate the league for the next decade.

Maybe fans are just completing the collection?
