By entering the 2018 season as defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles rightfully earned the highest team rating in Madden 19.

Now that mandatory minicamp is officially over and done with, it’s only a matter of time before training camp gets underway for the Philadelphia Eagles, as all eyes will be on Doug Pederson‘s squad to see if they have what it takes to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Despite a few questions in need of answering that includes the health status of both Carson Wentz and Brandon Graham, last season was the perfect example of how the Eagles can overcome any challenge thrown in their face. Even if Philadelphia will face a whole new level of pressure since they will be playing with targets on their backs as defending champions, there’s no reason for concern surrounding this team.

Rightfully so, the Eagles will be considered one of the early favorites to make a serious run in the NFC, although that’s always easier said than done since teams like the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons will give them quite the challenge.

Along with being one of the early favorites, Philadelphia recently received some high praise from the folks over at EA Sports for the latest edition of Madden 19.

With the popular video game scheduled to be released later this summer, the company decided to get fans excited by releasing team ratings, and while there were some questionable placements for certain teams, the Eagles have every reason to be thrilled over starting off on top.

As mentioned before, Philadelphia earned the right to be one of the early favorites to make a serious run at the Super Bowl in the NFC, so nobody should be surprised to see them top the current Madden 19 team ratings with a score of 90.

Whether the Eagles have what it takes to remain on top of the list throughout the 2018 season, only time will tell for the defending champions.

Unlike this time last year, Philadelphia has finally earned respect across the NFL, and expectations are higher than ever, as this team would love nothing more than to keep adding Super Bowl rings to their collection after experiencing that winning taste this past season.

Even if the Eagles drop a few spots in the team ratings during the regular season, all that truly matters is what goes down in the playoffs come January, assuming the team can earn a trip for a second year in a row.
