After months of waiting, the Philadelphia Eagles finally received their Super Bowl rings on Thursday.

Now that mandatory minicamp is officially in the books, it’s only a matter of time before training camp gets underway for the Philadelphia Eagles, with this time bringing a whole new feeling.

For the first time in franchise history, the Eagles will enter the 2018 season as defending Super Bowl champions after winning their first title back in February, and despite some questions still in need of answering, there’s every reason to believe this team can repeat.

From the status of whether Carson Wentz will be ready to go for Week 1 to how Brandon Graham will look once he returns following surgery, Philadelphia knows they still have a few challenges over the next month or so.

However, none of this mattered for the Eagles on Thursday night, as the team reunited to receive their Super Bowl rings from February’s win, and based off social media posts by some of the players, it looked like quite the celebration.

For months, there’s been plenty of excitement over what Philadelphia’s Super Bowl rings would look like, and once the images were finally released, there’s no question it was well worth the wait. Just take a look at the images below along with the description, and it’s easy to see why Thursday was such a special night for the Eagles as a team.

While there are plenty of great features about the ring, the one thing that stands out the most is how the underdog mask is engraved on the inside, which is simply awesome. As a reminder, the Eagles embraced the underdog role during their Super Bowl run since they were never favored to win any of the three games, not even the two home games at The Linc.

Now, Philadelphia will go from underdogs to being hunted since they will enter the 2018 season as defending champions with targets on their back as one of the top teams to beat, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.

After decades of heartbreak and coming up short when high expectations were high, the Eagles finally brought a title to the City of Brotherly Love, and Thursday’s celebration was just as memorable as the big game itself from February.

Hopefully, Thursday was just the first of many Super Bowl celebrations for the Eagles under Doug Pederson, as the next step for this team seems to be working towards the dynasty label. When seeing how the players reacted to receiving their rings on Thursday, a potential dynasty in the making shouldn’t be ruled out since this team looks hungrier than ever to keep this amazing feeling of winning around for as long as possible.
