With the first round of the NFL Draft now in the rearview mirror, let’s grade the picks of the Giants, Redskins, Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

After months of speculation as to who the world champion Philadelphia Eagles would select with their first-round pick, all of the speculation finally come to a close, and with the 32nd overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, the team shocked the world by selecting…no one.

But unfortunately for the team, the rest of their division just got a whole lot better.

With the very heart of the division once again up for grabs, the NFL Draft is the best way for any team to add that piece that they might have missed out on in free agency, or sure up a position of need with the regular season only six months away.

But which team in the NFC East made the best move in the first round?

With picks ranging from second to 32nd overall, there was a pretty substantial difference between the quality of players available to the New York Giants and those to the Philadelphia Eagles, but there’s an old saying in the NFL that goes “It’s not where you were drafted, it’s how you play on the field” and that adage will surely ring true once more in 2018.

Still dealing with the effects of the 2016 Carson Wentz trade, the Eagles only have six picks in this year’s draft and will have to hit on a number of players to remain on top of the division, but the decision to move out of the first round will definitely put even more pressure on Howie Roseman and company going into Day 2 of the draft.

So without further ado, let’s grade the first round picks of the NFC East, and see who selected the best player in the first round.
