Watch this heartwarming video of a Philadelphia Eagles fan scattering his grandfather’s ashes at Thursday’s Super Bowl parade.

Thursday will go down as one of the greatest days in history for the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans thanks to the parade taking place following the team’s Super Bowl LII win over the New England Patriots to give the organization their first title in franchise history. Whether they happen to be watching live or simply from the comfort of their own home, Eagles fans will forever remember this day, mainly because it’s been decades in the making.

Words can’t even describe what this Super Bowl win means for Philadelphia fans when looking at all of suffering and disappointment this team has gone through over the years. From five trips to the NFC Championship during the Andy Reid era to Chip Kelly sending this franchise back after all of the terrible decisions he made as head coach, Eagles fans have been experienced all sorts of disappointment over the years, but winning this first Super Bowl seems to have been well worth the wait.

Just look at all of the emotional videos from the last couple of days from Philadelphia fans showing how much winning the Super Bowl means to them, and it’s clear this is a city that is extremely passionate about their beloved football team. In fact, take a look at the video below of one Eagles fan who flew in from Tampa Bay to attend Thursday’s parade while honoring his grandfather by scattering his ashes (via @tallmaurice Twitter).

This video is just one of the many videos that will most likely be hitting social media on Thursday that shows just how passionate Philadelphia fans are, and it’s been amazing to see all of the fans honoring loved ones who are unfortunately no longer around that would have loved to see the team hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. There have been times in which Eagles fans have been heavily criticized for their actions, but nobody can argue their passion when looking at all of the celebrations that have been taking place since Sunday night in honor of the team’s first Super Bowl win, which is hopefully just the first of many moving forward.
