Philadelphia Eagles fans will certainly adore this amazing video of Torrey Smith surprising a young fan by FaceTiming Carson Wentz.

The victory tour has been going strong for the Philadelphia Eagles all week after shocking the world yet again by taking down the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII to claim their first title in franchise history. Everybody felt confident enough in the Eagles having what it takes to defeat the Patriots when looking at how much Doug Pederson‘s squad had been thriving in the underdog role throughout the playoffs, but it still doesn’t seem real.

Around this time last offseason, Philadelphia seemed like a team with potential after finishing with a 7-9 record during the 2016 season, but seeing them emerge as one of the top teams to beat in the NFC came out of nowhere. Improving the receiving corps was a top priority for the Eagles after Wentz’s rookie season, and while Alshon Jeffery was considered to be the top prize of free agency at receiver, Torrey Smith was considered one of the most underrated signings.

Not only was Smith considered an experienced veteran with a Super Bowl win on his resume from his time with the Baltimore Ravens, but the speedy wideout would provide the passing game with a reliable deep threat for Philadelphia to work with. And while Smith has received plenty of praise throughout his career for being an amazing teammate, the wideout’s off the field actions show just how great of an individual he is as well, with the video below being the perfect example.

Seeing Smith go the extra mile for this young fan at school by FaceTiming Wentz to make his day once again shows why Smith has always been one of the most respected players in the league. Stories like these help players like Smith earn even more respect, and it’s easy to see why he was considered a favorite among fans last season.

Just like Jeffery, Smith came to Philadelphia in the offseason with the mindset of this team had what it takes to go the distance, and watching them take New England down is still one of the best feelings in the world, even a few days later. If football fans thought the City of Brotherly Love was wild on Sunday night, one can only imagine what the Eagles parade is going to be like come Thursday.
