Philadelphia Eagles will host Minnesota Vikings in NFC Championship

The Philadelphia Eagles will host the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
After a thrilling win over the Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional Round, the Philadelphia Eagles were excited to see who they would end up playing in the NFC Championship, even if it meant being underdogs at home for the second game in a row. Thanks to their win over the Minnesota Vikings, it looks like the Minnesota Vikings will be coming to the City of Brotherly Love to face the Eagles with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
With an opportunity to potentially be playing in front of their own fans during this year’s Super Bowl, the Vikings have been a team on a mission all year to represent the NFC. And after seeing Minnesota pull off the win thanks to a game-winning 61-yard touchdown catch by Stefon Diggs as time expired to pull off the 29-24 win over New Orleans, Mike Zimmer‘s team is playing with a ton of confidence at the moment and feels confident enough in beating any team.
As for whether Minnesota has another win left in them after a tough outing against New Orleans, well let’s just say Philadelphia’s defense better be ready for all the weapons they have on offense. The Eagles may not have put together the best of performances on offense against the Falcons on Saturday night, but the important factor is the defense came through when it mattered the most, especially during the goal-line stand at the end of the game in which they prevented Matt Ryan from connecting with Julio Jones in the end zone. Holding a team like Atlanta to scoring just 10 points is never an easy task, but give Philadelphia’s defense plenty of credit for coming through when it mattered the most to help this team earn a much deserved trip to the NFC Championship.

One can only imagine what kind of atmosphere it’s going to be like come Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field when considering many football fans considered the Vikings the team to beat in the NFC since the Eagles haven’t looked the same since Carson Wentz went down. All things considered, Sunday’s meeting between Philadelphia and Minnesota with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line should be quite epic after seeing how the Divisional Round turned out for both teams.
