The Philadelphia Eagles ended up No. 124 on FanSided’s Fandom 250 rankings, although they arguably should have been higher on the list.

Passionate doesn’t even begin to describe how Philadelphia Eagles are when looking at all of the team has been through over the years, including the most recent moment from Week 14 in which MVP candidate Carson Wentz went down with a torn ACL. Only time will tell when it comes to whether Nick Foles has what it takes to lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl run, but either way, the fans will certainly do their part by cheering their beloved team to hopefully hoist the Lombardi Trophy for the first time.

Yes, Eagles fans have established a bad reputation over the years from opposing bases across the country, but at the end of the day, they’re simply some of the best. Between arriving at games super early to enjoy a day of tailgating to filling up Lincoln Financial Field every home game, Philadelphia fans aren’t bothered by their unfair reputation by some since that’s never going to stop them from supporting their beloved Eagles.

Recently, FanSided released their Fandom 250 rankings (which can be found here) for 2017, and as a surprise to no one, Eagles fans were worthy enough of being on the list. As for whether they should have been ranked higher than No. 124, well that’s a different story. Here’s a brief look at that the Fandom 250 rankings had to say about the Eagles fan base, along with the full description listed in this link.

"Before there was Lincoln Financial Field, there was Veterans Stadium. No fan of the Philadelphia Eagles will ever forget “The Vet.”You see, Eagles fans come with sort of a reputation. They booed Santa Claus. They caused physical harm to anyone who walked up to their old home’s ‘500 level’ wearing the jersey of another team. The Vet actually had a jail cell. It was there that you could be tried and sentenced if your love for your Eagles team reached intolerable levels. The Vet is gone now, but those Eagles fans remain, and what you call anarchy, they call passion."

No matter how hard they try, Eagles fans will never hear the end of the whole incident involving the booing of Santa Claus, but at least it could be much worse. If anything, this is just one of many examples of the passion behind this fan base, and there’s nothing they would love more than to finally earn that Super Bowl victory.

Coming in at No. 124 may seem like a bit of a disappointment when looking at some of the other NFL teams ahead of them on this list, but at least Eagles fans were able to jump 25 spots up when compared to last year. Either way, shout out to Philadelphia fans across the country for being part of this honor to land on FanSided’s rankings for the Fandom 250!
