The last time the Eagles were coming off a loss, they beat the New York Giants in dramatic fashion 27-24. That comeback prevented the Eagles from going on a losing streak, and they have still not had any losing streaks in 2017. The Eagles will be looking to avoid going on a losing streak on Sunday against the Rams.

The past week has certainly been tough for the Eagles, as they had a late game in Seattle then flew to Los Angeles and stayed out there to practice all week. This is the second game of a three-game road trip, and the Eagles must stay focused if they wish to have a bye come playoff time.

Going into the season, and even a few weeks ago, many would be happy if the Eagles came out of this West Coast swing 1-1. After a loss to the Seahawks, an Eagles win over the Rams on Sunday will put them at 1-1 on this road trip and put them in very good shape, as they head back east.

A loss though, could mean the Eagles are playing on Wild Card weekend, and the road to the Super Bowl is a lot more difficult when you need to win three games rather than two. This game should be looked at as a must win given how this season has unfolded.

Goff and Wentz will be a great matchup, as the top two picks from the 2016 draft have really come into their own in their second seasons. Wentz though, is still the better quarterback, as he can do more right now than Goff. Wentz`s ability to get out of trouble will give him the edge on Sunday.

The Eagles should come out a lot more aggressive this week on offense and try to put the Rams behind early. If the Eagles can force the game onto Goff`s shoulders, they will be in very good shape.

Goff is no Wilson, as he does not pose much of a threat with his legs at extending plays. If the Eagles’ defense can get to him, which they should, the unit could have a good day.

This Eagles team is too good to lose back to back games, and even though this is a tough task being out west for two straight weeks, they will show they are the better team on Sunday. Wentz is a bit better and more experienced than Goff, and that will put the Eagles over the top on Sunday. The Eagles will bounce back to move to 11-2 and take another step closer to a bye.

Final prediction: Eagles 31, Rams 23
