1. Avoid getting Wentz hit

One thing that really stands out about this Seattle defense is that they can hit, and they can hit hard. Carson Wentz doesn`t like to give himself up and has at times led with his shoulder trying to pick up the extra yards. Eagles fans and coaches would like to see their franchise quarterback protect his body a bit more.

Having a struggling secondary means that the Seahawks might try and throw some blitzes at Wentz come Sunday. The Eagles top ranked offensive line needs to be on their game and keep Wentz upright in the pocket. Also, the game plan should not feature much of Wentz running the ball, and more focusing on him beating Seattle with his arm in hopefully a clean pocket.

The Eagles need to do what they can to keep Wentz from facing a lot of pressure. While Carson has been solid under pressure this year, too many hits can not just injure him, but rattle him, and make the job of Seattle`s struggling secondary a bit easier.

If the offensive line can keep Wentz clean in the pocket, then he can sit back and pick apart the Seahawks’ defense. Getting the run game going and incorporating play action passes can slow down the pass rush and give Wentz time to take shots downfield.

On paper, all signs point to a big day from Wentz, and if the Eagles can limit the shots he takes throughout the game, then that could be the case.
