Prediction

To make this plain and simple; on paper, the Eagles are currently the better team than the Cowboys. They lead the NFC at 8-1, and have done a better job coaching around injuries and have shown to have better depth.

But regardless of all of that, Dallas is desperate. After getting embarrassed in Atlanta last week, they will be looking to bounce back. They need to win this game more than anything. But that will most certainly not be an easy task for the Cowboys.

The only thing that should worry anyone about the Eagles coming into this game is that after being off for two weeks, their run of momentum will die, just like in Detroit last year after the bye week.

But given two weeks to prepare for this game and as well coached as they are, I do not foresee that being a problem on Sunday night. Doug Pederson will have his team ready to go when the ball is kicked off in Dallas.

As desperate as the Cowboys are, the Eagles will be coming into this game with a similar mentality. A win will pretty much wrap up the NFC East and move the Eagles closer to home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Philadelphia has a lot on the line here.

On defense, the Eagles should be able to shut down the run, and once again force Prescott to beat them throwing the ball, and I do not think he can do that. Unless Dallas magically fixes the left side of their line, Prescott may be in for a long night.

On offense, if Lee does not play, then expect a huge night for the Eagles offensively. Even if Lee plays, the Eagles firepower on offense should be enough to score on the Dallas defense.

When fully healthy, both teams are very good and possibly very evenly matched. Both the Eagles and Cowboys have lost their fair share of players, but the Eagles have shown to be better suited to succeed even without some of their top players. Dallas, on the other hand, has struggled to replace the production from some of their injured/suspended stars.

On this night, the Eagles depth and ability to overcome injuries will prevail here. Wentz and company will lead Philadelphia to a huge win on enemy territory to move the Eagles to 9-1 and that much closer to their first playoff berth since 2013.
