3. Force the Game onto Prescott`s Shoulders

This will now be the second week that the Cowboys will be without their star running back in Elliott, and as we have seen, that has negatively impacted the Dallas offense.

Excluding Prescott runs, the Cowboys running backs combined for 15 carries for 65 yards in Atlanta. That is not terrible, but it is not close to what Zeke brings to the Cowboys’ offense. And as we saw last week, Dallas needs a dominant running game for their offense to have success.

Unfortunately for Dallas, they happen to be facing the league’s top rushing defense in the Eagles. Philadelphia`s rush defense has yielded over 150 fewer yards than the No. 2 team on that list.

It looks like it is going to be very difficult for Dallas to get the run game going, and if the Eagles can make that the case, the fate of their offense is going to be solely on Prescott.

Don`t get me wrong, Dak is a good quarterback. But we saw last week what happens when there is no threat of the run and teams can pin their ears back to go after the former Mississippi State quarterback.

Add into all of this the fact that Dallas’` best offensive linemen Tyron Smith may not suit up on Sunday, the Eagles pass rush may be in for a huge game, especially when seeing how much the Falcons’ defense was able to get to Prescott a week ago.

All in all, if the Eagles can shut down the run like they have so successfully this season, they can put this game entirely on the shoulders of Prescott. If they can do that and go after Prescott, it may be a long day for the Dallas quarterback.
