Prediction

Going into the season I had this marked down as an Eagles win. And while I stand by that prediction, this game will most certainly not be easy, so don`t expect Washington to come in here and not put up a fight.

The Redskins are definitely a better team since when the two teams first met in Week 1, but so are the Eagles. This will be a matchup of two of the better teams in the NFC. Winning this game will go a long way into winning the division along with hosting a playoff games come January.

Wentz has played MVP caliber football so far this season, a trend that should continue at home on Monday night. Wentz should be able to take advantage of facing off against a banged-up Washington secondary and have a very good game passing the ball and if the Eagles can again establish LeGarrette Blount early they should be able to dominate the time of possession.

Cousins and the Redskins’ offense will be able to move the ball against this Eagles defense, but it will be up to them not to give up any touchdowns, especially on big plays. If the defense can prevent the big play and force a turnover or two throughout, it will go a long way to setting the Eagles up for a chance to winning this game.

At home in prime time, this is the Eagles chance to show the world that they are for real. With their home crowd behind them, the Eagles will come out swinging on offense and do enough on defense to hold off Washington and record a huge win under the bright lights of Monday Night Football.

Final prediction: Eagles 27, Redskins 23
