Not only has Carson Wentz led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 5-1 start, but the quarterback has the highest selling jersey in the NFL at the moment.

The first half of the NFL 2017 season has already been filled with plenty of big surprises, one of which includes the Philadelphia Eagles being tied with the best record in the NFL heading into Week 6 at 5-1. Numerous factors come into play when it comes to the reasons behind this surprise successful start for the Eagles, but at the end of the day, it’s been the stellar play of Carson Wentz that has this team on top of the NFC East at the moment.

Wentz wasted no time becoming a fan favorite in the City of Brotherly Love last season as a rookie when looking at the toughness he would bring into each game, but with Philadelphia emerging as one of the teams to beat in the NFC, that love has reached a whole new level for Eagles fans in recent weeks. In fact, Wentz’s popularity has apparently hit a whole new level to a point where he’s earned the highest selling jersey in the NFL.

Who would have thought of all the popular players in the NFL, it would be Wentz sitting on top of a list like this heading into Week 7? Even if it is just something minor like jersey sales, this just shows how much of a respected quarterback Wentz has quickly become in such a short period of time since he only has 22 career starts to his name.

Ranking No. 1 in jersey sales is always a cool accomplishment, but Eagles fans would love Wentz even more if he could finally bring the city a Super Bowl after all of the years spent suffering. Obviously, Philadelphia still has a long way to go when it comes to that happening, but at least Wentz finally has this team moving in the right direction for the first time in what seems like forever.
