Philadelphia Eagles: Three potential landing spots for Jeremy Maclin
By Chuck Booth
This likely won’t happen but it bears mentioning.
Maclin’s most productive years were while he was with the Philadelphia Eagles and while they have added a lot to the receiving core the Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith contracts are more band-aids than anything. Also, with Jordan Matthews‘ future up in the air, it would make sense for the Philadelphia Eagles to sign a long term solution at receiver. The cap situation is a mess but Howie Roseman could likely work something out.
He’s spent the entire offseason restructuring contracts behind the scenes and there are cuts that could be made to give the Philadelphia Eagles some breathing room. The offense already should be improved with all of the offseason additions but with Maclin in as the number two receiver and Torrey Smith seeing the field as a situational fourth option, the Philadelphia Eagles offense could fly.

Stranger things have happened so while this is a long shot, it isn’t one that should be completely ruled out.
