Russell Wilson is another guy in need of some help.

The Seattle Seahawks have always been led by a fearsome running game but with Marshawn Lynch now in Oakland, the rushing attack has taken a step back. This means that the Seahawks will have to rely on their ariel attack more moving forward. With a quarterback like Russell Wilson, that shouldn’t be an issue but an upgrade to the receiving core wouldn’t be the worst idea.

Currently, the Seahawks have Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, Paul Richardson, and Jermaine Kearse as their top receivers. While these aren’t bad options, adding Maclin would be an upgrade over most of them. The Seahawks don’t have a ton of cap space to work with but depending on what happens with the rumors around Richard Sherman, they could be able to make this work.

Sherman carries a 13.6 million dollar cap hit so moving him could give the Seahawks plenty of room to make Maclin work as well as a few other things. While Maclin to Seattle may be a long shot, it makes sense for both sides.
