1. Ivan Provorov and Travis Konecny’s NHL Debuts

For number one we have a two for one.

And remember that the Boston Bruins passed on Travis Konecny three times.

These two are just the beginning of the youth movement that is about to impact the Philadelphia Flyers in the coming years. Currently, they are playing important minutes for Dave Hakstol’s club.

Provorov leads the Philadelphia Flyers in ice time, plays on the powerplay and penalty kill. Konecny gets time on the second unit and plays on the second line.

In his first year, Provorov has proven himself to be the best defenseman on the Philadelphia Flyers. It is rather unfortunate that he is paired with Andrew MacDonald, but I guess that added challenge can help his development.

Konecny early in the season played with Couturier and Voracek which was the best 5v5 line the Philadelphia Flyers had. Since TK has continued to play on the second line and has performed admirably. Up until the Ducks game he did not score for 22 games, but both youngsters have made an impact at the NHL level.

Both Provorov and TK have made the Philadelphia Flyers a better team. Look for each to continue to improve while wearing the orange and black.
