Number 3: Ryan Howard blasts a 473 ft. home run off Orlando Hernandez on August 30th, 2007.

Maybe the only hotter spot than that right-center field corner for Howard ways the left-center field corner. That corner was the sight of countless RBI-doubles and powerful home runs, but none more impressive than another 473 ft. home run off rival Mets pitcher Orlando Hernandez.

The video claims the ball went 505 ft., but according to ESPN’s Home Run Tracker it didn’t quite reach that feat. Still, Howard blasted a memorable home run that hit the famed “Ashburn Alley”. This homer came on the heels of 47-home run performance in 2007. This amazingly had no comparison to his 2006 MVP season, where he blasted 58 home runs.

The incredible homer has stuck in the minds of Philadelphia Phillies fans. El Duque will probably never forget it either, as it ranks amongst the longest home runs he has ever given up in his long career. Ryan Howard has provided countless moments where he destroyed balls the opposite way.

There was always something about those hanging sliders that Howard seemed to never miss. Every time he got a pitch he liked around the knees he seemingly exploded anything he hit.

This ball came off the bat at 114..4 miles per hour as a line drive. The ball has blasted off of Ryan Howard’s bat at an incredible speed with each home run on this list, but this one had slightly more elevation than the others.
