1. Ivan Provorov-Defenseman (Junior numbers) 62 GP 21G-52A-73P

The franchise defenseman, ladies and gentelman, Ivan Provorov. That stat line is correct, he had 73 points as a defenseman last year in juniors. If Konecny was a man among boys, Provorov was a mountain among boys. There is absolutely no way GM Ron Hextall sends Provorov down for one more year of juniors.

Provorov might be the best all-around defenseman coming out of his draft class. The kid can do everything, he is offensively gifted but not to the point where he is just all offense. He is very defensively sound and deceptively quick for a 6’1 200 pound man. What is even scarier is that he is only 19 and he is this good already.

He has all the tools to be a very good player for a long while. The Philadelphia Flyers need help on the blue line and the long line of prospects is slowly coming along. Provorov has the highest ceiling out of all of the Philadelphia Flyers’ defensive prospects.

Provorov Is almsot cemented to make the Flyers this year barring any monumental shake-up. He has the skills already at 19 to make a contribution for the Philadelphia Flyers at the NHL level. It is a scary thought.

Ok, he is good but he is not going to be a top 2 d-man right away. However, it should not be a problem for Provorov to find a roster spot. Andrew MacDonald has been to the minors already and he very well might be there again this year because of Ivan Provorov.

If he can get adjusted to the NHL game during training camp and preseason, be ready for Ivan Provorov this year.
