AWAY vs Toronto FC 5 p.m. September 24th

Four games left to play in the regular and the Philadelphia Union find themselves in 3rd place. These last four games will all feel like playoff games, as the Union take on four straight Eastern Conference opponents, all trying to claim the highest seed they can in the playoffs.

The Union will travel to newly renovated BMO Field, to take on Toronto FC, who will be out for revenge after falling to the Union 2-1, at Talen Energy Stadium.

This could be a matchup we will likely see in the playoffs, as Toronto is sitting in first place in the East, the Union sitting in third. With both team’s trying to maintain their positions, Union trying to get closer to first place.

Can You Slow him Down?

Sebastian Giovinco is still on his goal scoring tear and in sole possession of first place in the race for the Golden Boot. As always it will be a challenge to keep him contained. The Union could mark him man-to-man perfectly, someone else could draw the foul, and Giovinco will score on the free kick. That’s what makes him so lethal, his ability to score on almost any touch of the ball.

Game Expectations

Toronto is the top seed and will look to distance themselves from the rest of the Eastern Conference. The Union will look to quickly regain their form, they already clinched a playoff spot but need to maintain their spot in the standings in order to have a home playoff game. The Union on a point on the road, as the game ends in a 1-1 draw.
