Defensive Line, Grade: A+

This is the one group on the team that no fan should be concerned about. It is as deep as it is talented. Fletcher Cox is a man child. With Cox and Bennie Logan stopping the run and clogging up holes, this run defense should find itself in the top five in the league. With Jim Schwartz reintroducing the wide nine, defensive ends Vinny Curry and Brandon Graham should have the best years of their careers.

This group has the ability to hide flaws elsewhere on the defense. If they can create pressure and make the opposing QB feel their presence, we could be looking at a top five total defense if the stars align correspondingly.

Overall, the Philadelphia Eagles have what appears to be a mostly average squad. If some groups can step up and play beyond what their capabilities seem to be at this point, then the Birds could be surprisingly successful. Otherwise, it would seem at this point the team is destined for a record around .500.
