Linebackers, Grade: C+

The Philadelphia Eagles’ linebacker situation is tricky heading into camp. Jordan Hicks has not been able to remain healthy since early on in his college career at Texas. In retrospect, when he is on the field, he is a force to be reckoned with. Michael Kendricks still hasn’t completely lived up to what he was supposed to be coming out of college.

His raw talent is evident on the field but he still makes mental errors that prove to be costly. Beyond these two players, there isn’t much to write home about. Nobody is totally sure how exactly Connor Barwin will be used this year but more than likely it won’t be as an every down linebacker. Nigel Bradham will probably man that role and played well in 2014 under Jim Schwartz. But being that this was two years ago, be cautiously optimistic.

The linebacker core has good starting options but depth is where they are sorely lacking. Hopefully, everyone can stay on the field for the Philadelphia Eagles or things could get dicey out there.
