Top pick: Derrick Rose

Best player: Russell Westbrook (#4)

Other notables: Kevin Love (5)

Analysis

It’s tough to argue against Rose as the top pick. In 2012 he looked poised to lead the Bulls to a title. Unfortunately, he was injured in the opening round of the playoffs, and hasn’t been the same since.

Russell Westbrook has benefited from playing with Durant, but some people say that he’s actually better, and the real key to the Thunder’s success. Love starred in Minnesota, and now – despite some questions about how well he meshes with LeBron James – just won a title as a supporting piece in Cleveland.

Philadelphia 76ers pick: Marreese Speights

Offensively gifted, but a black hole on defense, Speights only lasted three seasons before being traded. He eventually ended up on the Warriors where he won a title as a bench player.
