2006

Top pick: Andrea Bargnani

Best player: LaMarcus Aldridge (Picked at #2)

Other notables: Brandon Roy (6), Rajon Rondo (21)

Analysis

The last time Bryan Colangelo was in charge of the team with the top pick, the Toronto Raptors selected Bargnani, a forward out of Italy. While Bargnani had a decent career, he never made an All-Star team. On the other hand, Aldridge, taken by the Trail Blazers with the second pick, has been to five All-Star games and earned All-NBA honors three times.

Roy and Rondo also earned All-Star berths and All-NBA awards, with Rondo helping to lead the 2008 Celtics to the title.

Philadelphia 76ers pick: Rodney Carney (16)

Carney had two tours with the Sixers. He spent some time as a starter, but never averaged more than the 6.6 points per game of his rookie season.
