Philadelphia 76ers: 5 Trade Scenarios For Noel/Okafor
With the Philadelphia 76ers expected to trade either Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor this summer, what are the possible trades that could occur if one of the centers are moved?
The Philadelphia 76ers are about to hit their most important draft in their rebuild, and could spark things up with some big trades involving young and promising centers Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor. Moving one of the centers would not only free up room in the jammed front court, but could also wring in an important perimeter player.
The new era Philadelphia 76ers may look to create a more complete team more than just racking up talented assets that don’t really complement each other. This is why trading embattled rookie Jahlil Okafor and the offensive-struggling Nerlens Noel. Both players have large glaring weaknesses that could be both hidden or even developed.
Jahlil Okafor’s offensive game and potential allows his value to be significantly higher than Noel’s, which could actually make moving him more difficult than Noel. Okafor’s high value also comes with a lack in defensive presence, which could make him hard to move as teams would be taking a big risk on trading for him. Noel, on the other hand, may be easier to move due to his lesser value and his ability in the transition game.
Let’s take a look at some of the possible trades for the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason if the murmurs of moving Okafor or Noel are true. We look into at least two trades for each player.
