2016 looks to be a year of growth for the Philadelphia Phillies, and we at Section 215 would like to bring you a list of key players to watch this baseball season.

As all key player lists go, this must be taken with a grain of salt because these rankings are strictly subjective. Who one person feels is a key player may not match up with who someone else views as a key player. If there’s a disagreement, comment on it in the comments section. We’d love to engage in constructive conversation about which players will make an impact for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2016.

Let’s start with how this list is constructed:

For a player to be considered a key player, the player must be considered a starter (for pitchers and hitters) or a player that will make key contributions to the team (bench players and relief pitchers). Some players will be considered for this list because they are poised for bounce back seasons and will be valuable trade bait. For a team like the Philadelphia Phillies, anyone who can bring in useful prospects will be considered an important piece.
