If you’re a fan of #Narritive than this is the game for you.

7/2 vs Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Arena-

The new-look Dynamo are built off of to former Philadelphia Union players, Andrew Wenger and Christian “Chaco” Maidana. Wenger scored a brace last week for Houston and as a Philadelphia Union fan, it hurt to see him do it in the orange and black rather than the blue and gold. The week before that Chaco registered a goal and an assist reminding Union fans of what playmaking ability they sent to Houston.

Maidana doesn’t hurt as much as Wenger because the writing was on the wall when Earnie Stewart took over as Sporting Director but fans were emotionally invested in Wenger with him being a local boy out of Lancaster, PA.

Next: Will the Union improve in 2016?

While the game doesn’t have as much emotional value as if it were played at Talen Energy stadium the energy will be high in this matchup. The Union players will be happy to see their former teammates but they will also be just as motivated to perform well against them and win the game. This is a game that could leave a sour taste in Philadelphia Union fan’s mouths but that’s what makes it so intriguing.
