The Philadelphia Union will have their home opener March 20th at Talen Energy stadium, but which games are can’t miss games?
The Philadelphia Union are currently off to a nice start to the season after losing to FC Dallas 2-0 but rebounding against the MLS Cup runner up’s, the Columbus Crew 2-1. The Union looked like a completely different team in both games but like to assume that we’ll see more of the counter-attacking force that took on Columbus.
Sure you want to be able to see every Union game this season but sometimes that isn’t possible. Don’t worry we’ve got you covered with a rundown of the top games to watch are as well as what storylines take place in them.
The criteria that we’re using starts with how the Philadelphia Union match up against a team. This means that games that should be easy wins will not be included (sorry Colorado), there is added weight to a rivalry game so games against the likes of DC and New York will have the upper hand. Playing against playoff teams from last year is a plus as is playing against surprising teams. Finally, we come to emotional connections between the Philadelphia Union and other teams so former players and coaches mean a lot.
