DeSean Jackson’s Top Five Moments With Eagles
By Tim Kelly
3. DeSean sets the stage for an electrifying evening
With the exception of the 44-6 defeat to beat the Cowboys and clinch the NFC East title in 2008, I’m not sure I’ve had more fun watching the Eagles play over the course of the last six years, than when the Eagles lit up Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football during the 2010 season.
In a game that will likely go down as the defining moment of Michael Vick‘s career, Vick combined for six total touchdowns (four passing and two rushing) as the Eagles wiped the floor with the Redskins on a national stage, winning 59-28.
While DeSean only had one other catch besides this, opening up a game with an 88-yard touchdown reception (while avoiding the ref), was pretty awesome. Plus, his spike game was pretty tight.
Unfortunately, Andy Reid and Marty Morhinweg didn’t grasp that you couldn’t start every single game with this same play, and execute it to perfection like this.
