DeSean Jackson’s Top Five Moments With Eagles
By Tim Kelly
5. The go-ahead score in the 2008 NFC Title Game
While the Eagles would go on to lose this game (Kevin Curtis was interfered with by Rod Hood BTW), DeSean Jackson‘s go-ahead score in the fourth quarter provided his first big-moment play with the Eagles.
What made this play even better, was that it was caught over future Eagles’ deadbeat corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
Jackson’s electrifying speed was able to give him a half step on Rodgers-Cromartie, who was pretty fleet of foot himself.
Donovan McNabb made a perfect pass, that was just far enough that Rodgers-Cromartie couldn’t make a play to knock down the ball, which allowed Jackson to bobble the ball, before gaining possession and taunting his way to the biggest touchdown of his early career.
Thankfully, he remembered to hold the ball across the plane this time.
