Selection: Byron Maxwell

When speaking of early season disappointments, Byron Maxwell is the first that comes to mind. Maxwell may even be the biggest in the entire NFL, not just the city of Philadelphia.

Prior to Sunday’s win against the New York Jets, Maxwell had the most receiving yards against, as well as a perfect QB rating, according to Pro Football Focus.

Given the fact that Maxwell received a six-year/$63 million deal to leave the Seattle Seahawks this off-season, his early play has been a let-down, to say the least.

The one silver lining in his early season struggles is that he has still had success when given a chance to play press-man, meaning a few systematic tweaks from defensive coordinator Billy Davis could help to turn his early struggles into a successful season.
