Jimmy Rollins Traded: Top Five Moments With The Phillies

6 of 6

1. Jimmy Rollins walkoff double in the 2009 NLCS

In 2009, for the second consecutive season, the Phillies met Joe Torre’s Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. And for the second straight season, the Dodgers were in the driver’s seat to even the series at 2-2, before the Phillies got a huge hit off of Jonathan Broxton to change the fate of the series.

In 2008, Matt Stair’s game four pinch-hit blast off of Broxton essentially put a fork in the Dodgers chances of getting back in the NLCS and turned out to be the most iconic moment in the Phillies World Series run.

Rollins’ moment, while not as surprising or probably iconic, was equally as fun, and will turn out to be the biggest hit of what may end up being a hall of fame career. His hit also provided the most memorable call from the radio team of Scott Franzke and Larry Anderson.
