What else?

Belichick picked Kelly’s brain when Kelly was revolutionizing college Football with his offense, the two have held joint practice sessions for consecutive summer’s and may be the two smartest football minds in the entire league. (They also may be the two most powerful men in the league in terms of team control.)

Beyond the coaching storyline, the Patriots are defending Superbowl champions, and though losing Darrelle Revis in free-agency may keep them from repeating, there is little reason to think that they won’t be right in the thick of things in the AFC next year.

The Patriots saw their division improve this off-season with the Dolphins, Jets and Bills all very active in terms of big-name transactions, so the AFC East may not be the usual cakewalk for the Patriots. That means that not only will this game be crucial in the Eagles trying to win the NFC East, but the Patriots trying to win the AFC East and improve their overall seeding in the AFC.
